Privacy Policy
Summary
MyCyclo is a period, cycle and wellness tracker. Everything you enter stays on your phone. MyCyclo has no account, no login and no server that receives your health data. We do not collect, see, sell, rent or share your health data, and the app has no ads and no analytics or tracking tools.
Who we are
MyCyclo is provided by Fitness With Mani (proprietor: Manish), House No. 187/2, Street No. 1, near DAV Girls School, Ferozepur Cantt, Punjab 152001, India ("we", "us"). Contact: support@mycyclo.uk.
What you can enter in the app
Period dates and cycle settings; daily logs such as flow, discharge, symptoms, mood, PCOD/PCOS signs, water, sleep and weight; whether you had sex and whether it was protected; ovulation and pregnancy test results; your goal (track your cycle or trying to conceive); an optional first name or nickname and a picture symbol; your app settings, such as language and reminders; and, if you turn on App lock, a 4-digit PIN. All of this is optional except the information needed for predictions (your last period date and cycle length).
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored only in the private storage of the MyCyclo app on your phone. Other apps cannot read it. On Android, MyCyclo turns off the automatic Android app backup, so your data is not copied to Google by the app. On iPhone, your phone's own backup (for example iCloud or a computer backup) may include app data. That backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us. Your PIN is never stored as typed: only a one-way scrambled code (a hash) of it is kept on the phone.
What we collect
We do not collect any personal data or health data through the app. We have no copy of your data and cannot see it. Because of this, we cannot recover your data if you lose your phone, delete the app or forget your PIN. Use "Export my data" to keep your own copy.
Fingerprint and face unlock
If you use fingerprint or face to unlock MyCyclo, the check is done by your phone's operating system (Android or iOS). MyCyclo only receives a yes or no answer. Your fingerprint or face data is never available to MyCyclo and is never stored by it.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders are created and shown by your phone itself. They are not sent from a server. By default, reminders are discreet: the text on your lock screen never mentions periods, fertility or pregnancy. You can choose to show full details in Settings. You can turn reminders off at any time.
Phone permissions
Notifications: to show your reminders. Run at startup: to set your reminders again after the phone restarts. Biometric: to let you unlock the app with fingerprint or face, only if you turn App lock on. Google Play Billing: to buy MyCyclo Plus and check whether your subscription is active. MyCyclo does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
Sharing and exporting
MyCyclo never shares your data by itself. Data leaves your phone only when you choose to: for example when you use "Export my data", "Share summary" or the doctor report, and pick an app to send it with. After you send it, the person or app you sent it to handles it under their own rules. Share health information only with people you trust.
MyCyclo Plus purchases
Payments for MyCyclo Plus are handled by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone). We never receive your card or bank details. To unlock Plus, the app checks with Google Play or the App Store whether your subscription is active. Your purchase is linked to your Google or Apple account, which is how you can restore it on a new phone. Google and Apple process purchase information under their own privacy policies.
Deleting your data
Settings > Delete all data permanently erases everything MyCyclo has stored on your phone. Uninstalling the app also deletes its data. Deleted data cannot be recovered by us, because we never had a copy. Copies you exported or shared yourself are not deleted by this and must be deleted by you.
Your rights
Laws such as the EU and UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 give you rights to access, correct, delete and take a copy of your personal data. In MyCyclo you can do all of this yourself, at any time, without asking us: view and edit your logs, export a copy and delete everything. For any privacy question or complaint, contact support@mycyclo.uk. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
MyCyclo is not designed for children under 13. If you are under 18, or under the age of digital consent where you live, please use MyCyclo with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian.
Security
Your data is protected by your phone's own security and by the app's private storage. For extra protection, turn on App lock and keep a screen lock on your phone. Anyone who can unlock your phone and the app can see your data.
Future features
If we ever add a feature that sends data off your phone, such as backup to your own Google Drive or an AI health chat, it will be optional, clearly explained before you use it, and turned on only with your permission. This policy will be updated before any such feature is released.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date below and show a notice in the app for important changes.
